April 24, 2008 - "Groovy" Coral Albinos and Hets
An AWESOME litter from our Big Daddy X Big
Mama pairing that has produced all of our Groovy-line coral albinos to date.
June 10, 2008 - "Groovy" Coral Sunglow Stuff
We got a very nice litter of
sunglows, albinos, DH sunglows and het albinos from a first-time female DH sunglow that was bred by one of our best male
"Groovy" coral albinos.
June 19, 2008 - Shhhhhhhh!
The breeding of our 2003 holdback "Groovy" coral albino het anery male
to a female motley 50% possible het albino resulted in a small litter of 8 with a BIG genetic surprise. This
litter is going to remain a secret for a while longer until we have had a chance to do some further research into the possible
mechanisms that could have resulted in this most unexpected outcome!
June 23, 2008 - 66% DH Sunglows and Het Albinos
This was a small litter of BIG
robust babies from one of Big Mama's het albino daughters born here on New Years Day 2004; she was bred by a DH sunglow
male.
June 24, 2008 - Striped Sunglow Motley Stuff
Our 50% possible het albino motley
male proved out on this litter, but not in quite the way we had hoped. He was bred to a genetic-striped DH sunglow female,
and the only white boa in the litter was a stillborn sunglow. So we missed on the sunglow/albino motleys, but despite
the bad odds it was still an excellent litter of hypo motleys, motleys, hypos and normals all 100% het genetic stripe AND
66% possible het albino!
July 1, 2008 - "Groovy" Coral Albinos Het Stripe
This litter was produced by another
of Big Mama's New Years Day 2004 het albino, possible coral (Groovy-line) daughters. She was bred by an exceptional
genetic-striped albino male, resulting in a good-sized litter of albinos and het albinos, all possible coral (Groovy-line)
and 100% het genetic stripe!
July 6, 2008 - Salmon-hypos and Normals
Middle Mama, a normal sister
of Big Mama, was bred by an outstanding Salmon-hypo male. From the day she ovulated until the day she gave birth she
looked like she had swallowed a few dozen tennis balls! We knew that she was going to have a big litter, big
babies, or both - and it was......BOTH! She had 23 Salmon-hypos and 22 normals - all of them perfect, big and robust
- and 1 slug for good measure!
We had our most fun and rewarding experience of the season with this
litter, and took TONS of pictures!
